A news report tonight (can't remember the channel) said that as many as 50 Labour backbenchers have 'lost confidence in Gordon Brown - yet will remain loyal to him'. In other words despite having no confidence in him they still think he should be PM.
Is it just me, or does not having confidence in your leadership seem to be the best possible reason for getting rid of it?
Loyalty is sticking by someone when they've made some wrong choices. It is not sticking by someone when you think they will continue to make wrong choices, that's stupidity.
